If Japanese beetles become a problem, add 2 tbsp Sevin 50W. (Do not use Sevin until 30 days after bloom.) Some captan formulations are not registered for pears; substitute ferbam for captan in mid-season sprays if pears are not listed on the captan label. Imidan 12.5W, 3 tbsp (or 70WP, 1 tbsp) may be substituted for methoxychlor in this spray. See p. 57 of PMG 456-018 for boron deficiency. |
