b. Anisodactylus nigerrimus Dejean

Oblong-oval, robust, subconvex; black, slightly shining. Pronotum transverse; base slightly wider than apex; sides broadly arcuate; basal impressions very shallow, finely, rugosely punctate; lateral margins feebly depressed at middle, not at posterior angles; posterior angles obtuse. Elytral striae deep; intervals convex, finely alutaceous, and finely, sparsely punctate. Length 11 - 12 mm.
