Genus Abacidus

Of medium size, elongate-ovate, rather robust, subdepressed; basal segments of antennae robust; pronotum quadrate, sides broadly arcuate, base wider than apex, two linear basal impressions each side; elytral striae entire, scutellar distinct, three dorsal punctures present; metepisterna short.

Abacidus sculptus

Length: 13 - 15 mm. Range: South and West. Black. Thorax about as wide as elytra with deeply impressed midline; two dorsal punctures on third striae.
