Weevil, spittlebug, spider mites, leaf aphids, fruit rots, leaf spots A good thinning and mulching of plants during late February to early March is important for fruit rot control. Spray Sevin for strawberry rootworms if adults are seen feeding on leaves in the spring in high numbers (10/sq ft).  Do not spray acaricides preventatively.
