Trip overview

The Participatorty Appraisal for Albania was held in third and fourth weeks of July, 1998. After arrival, part of the first day was spent in the capital city of Tirana. The group lodged in the Hotel Tirana, on Skanderbeg Square. The team drove to Fier, which served as a base for the farm visits. After the visits, and stops at Vlore and Durres, the group returned to Tirana for several days of proposal development in the Ministry of Agriculture Building. During the visit, the group visited the Agricultural University of Tirana, the Plant Protection Research Institute at Durress, and the Fruit Tree Research Institute at Vlore.
